The Intermediate Coaching General Principles course is a series of educational modules for coaches who want to improve their skills and knowledge. The Intermediate Coaching General Principles has replaced the Better Coaching General Principles or Level 2 course.

The NCAS Intermediate Coaching General Principles Course was developed by the Australian Sports Commission and Sports Education and Leadership Services is an approved provider (#270).  This course complements the sport-specific component provided by your national sporting organisation and is a progressive coach education program of the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS).

Pre-requisites

A minimum age of 18 years and a current Level 1 NCAS (or equivalent) accreditation.

Inclusions

All resources, assessment, certification and an allocated tutor available by phone or email.

Resources and assessment

The Intermediate Coaching General Principles package comprises of the Intermediate Coaching General Principles Manual and worksheets.  The manual is provided as a reference tool and will assist you in responding to the assessment tasks.

Language

All course resources, certifications and tutorial support are currently only available in English.

Course duration

Maximum of 12 months from commencement of course.  There is no refund for non-completion within the appointed time-frame.

Accreditation

On successful completion of the Intermediate Coaching General Principles course, candidates are awarded the Australian Sports Commission's Certificate of Completion.

*Coaches must complete the sports specific component and their practical coaching component to be eligible for accreditation with the National Coach Accreditation Scheme. Visit the Coaching and Officiating Unit of the Australian Sports Commission for more information on coach accreditation. Please note your country may acknowledge the NCAS accreditation.  Check this with your home officiating body*
