Level 1 - Orientation to Sports Team Management Program by Distance Learning
The Level 1 - Orientation to Sports Team Management Program has been developed by Sports Education and Leadership Services and is designed to provide guidance to people who are interested in managing a sporting team or find themselves in that role either by choice or necessity.
It is aimed at people who are working with team sports or with individual athletes making up a team at the school, junior local club or regional level. This program can also be used as the basis for learning to manage a team at the more elite levels.
Level 2 - Managing Senior Club and Representative Teams Course by Distance
The Managing Senior Club and Representative Teams Program is targeted to experienced team managers or those who may be managing representative teams for an event or senior clubs for a season.
The emphasis is on a mix of knowledge and skill development that explores the role, code of conduct and responsibilities of the team managers, explains the competition and team development cycles and team manager involvement and includes anti-doping, team health and well being, travel and transport issues.
Level 3 Managing National and National League Teams Program (Distance)
Registrations for the self-paced Level 3 Managing National and National League Teams Program are now open.
Targeted to experienced coaches, team and high performance managers and those with aspirations to manage national and national league teams, this program aims to increase the depth of skills and knowledge of the team management unit in a range of areas.
The program is delivered entirely by distance however participants are welcome to join modules within face to face programs at no extra cost if they wish to supplement their learning in the classroom environment.
